What software and methods I used to create this website: (I wish every site had this, I think it's great to see what other people do.)

• Operating System: FreeBSD.
• Web Server: Hunchentoot . Thanks Edi Weitz.
• Languages:
  • Common Lisp on SBCL 32 bit for FreeBSD.
  • cl-who to generate HTML using s-expressions.
  • I wrote little to no HTML, Javascript and SQL and instead was able to do just about everything everything in Lisp because of these wonderful Lisp apps and libraries. This is thanks to all those F/OSS developers.
• Persistence:
  • Elephant
  • BDB
  • This site is SQL free. Thanks to Ben Lee, Andrew Blumberg, Robert Read, Ian Eslick for Elephant and to those who created BDB.
• Testing
  • I am using the unit/regression testing framework FiveAM .
  • I try to test the site in Firefox , Epiphany and Links .
  • Acceptance tests (if any) are created using selenium and cl-selenium .
  • Coverage is calculated using sb-cover which is part of SBCL.
• Development Environment
  • For a window manager I was using Gnome2 but could easily be caught in WindowMaker/GNUstep or Sawfish.
  • Emacs as an IDE. Thanks Richard Stallman.
  • SLIME Emacs mode for Common Lisp development. Thanks Eric Marsden, Luke Gorrie and Helmut Eller.
  • The GIMP was used to create the graphics art.
• Resources:
  • I found most of what I need in Common Lisp on cliki.net . Thankfully, asdf and asdf-install makes system definitions and installation convenient.
  • I got the design idea and some CSS from Bugmenot .
• This is the most fun I've had making a website in a long time.
